In December 1960, after trial production of several rounds of prototypes, the “Phoenix” sedan, by using Mercedes-Benz 220S sedan (W180) as the imitation sample, was finally produced. In 1964, this car was officially changed its name to “Shanghai SH760” sedan after improving the design and technology. The appearance of the SH760 is low profile and majestic. The car paint is mainly white, black and light blue. Before the reform and opening up, the Shanghai brand cars almost dominated the domestic official bus market. “Eating White Rabbit creamy candy, wearing Shanghai brand watches, and riding Shanghai brand cars” represent a status symbol at the time.
