The authentic and pure Italian Alfa Romeo Giulietta model was released in 1954 and was debuted at the Turin Auto Show in the same year. It was the first successful small-displacement model for Alfa Romeo. Its appearance also marked Alfa Romeo entry into small and medium-sized models of manufacture.

The Giulietta, collected by Chengdu Sanhe Classic Car Museum, was manufactured by Bertone, a well-known Italian automotive coachbuilder company.
