Edsel Ranger

United States 1959

To occupy the US market share and shorten the gap with GM, Ford Motor Company founded the Edsel brand named after Edsel Ford, son of the founder, Henry Ford, in 1957. At the beginning of its establishment, Ford invested heavily to promote the brand and tried to package it into the best-selling model. However, because of its deviant design, it was not satisfied by the market. “Corsair” is a series launched by Edsel in 1958-1959, of which the 1959 model was the flagship model of the brand at that time.
