Alfa Romeo 1900CSS

Italy 1955

The Alfa Romeo 1900CSS, produced by the Italian automaker Alfa Romeo, belongs to the 1900 series launched from 1950 to 1959. The 1900CSS model was designed by Orazio Satta. It debuted at the Paris Motor Show in 1950 and was launched as the flagship model of the 1900 series.

The 1900 series is the first time that Alfa Romeo has been assembled on a standardized production line. For the first time, the split chassis design was cancelled and left-hand driving was provided. The elimination of the separate chassis means that the body and chassis are integrated. And the overall structure makes mass production easier, lowers costs and keeps vehicle performance optimal. The 1900 series embodies leading manufacturing capability and innovative spirit of Alfa Romeo at the time.
